Mission

The Zuckerman Institute MRI Platform at Columbia University is committed to providing exceptional core services to neuroscience researchers from across Columbia. Our goal is to serve as a comprehensive resource, enabling both novice and experienced researchers to advance their MRI research with ease and precision.

 

We offer a wide range of services designed to support researchers at all levels of experience, from those submitting their first grant applications to seasoned MRI laboratories seeking specialized technical services or consultation. Our offerings include:

  • Consultation Services: Expert advice on experimental design and grant submission for anatomical MRI, functional MRI (task-based or resting state), and MR spectroscopy
  • Customized Development: Tailoring pulse sequences, RF coils, and fMRI paradigms to meet specific research questions and needs.
  • Efficient Scheduling and Acquisition: Streamlined processes for scheduling and acquiring MR images to ensure timely and efficient research progress.
  • Advanced Equipment Access: Use of a broad range of MR-compatible stimulus and response equipment, as well as psychophysiological monitoring tools.
  • Training and Assistance: Comprehensive support and training on MR image processing across all modalities to enhance research capabilities.

Human Cognitive Imaging Committee

The Human Cognitive Imaging Committee meets monthly to discuss long term planning for the Zuckerman Institute MRI Platform and the broader Columbia neuroimaging community, and to review Seed Award applications.
